Description
Full description
A stereo microscope with a long working distance — 250 mm and 230 mm — and a modern gooseneck LED light source. The successor to the long-serving Optek MST.
Until now the hardest thing about microscopes of this type has been lighting the working area properly. The illuminators other makers place just behind the objectives light the field inadequately and warm the head, which makes the instrument less comfortable to work with.
The gooseneck illuminators remove that warming entirely, and the working area can be lit from whichever side suits — so the light never gets in the way of the hands or the tools, for right- and left-handed users alike. Setting the angle of the light well also brings out relief.
A microscope intended for electronics work — routine service and fault-finding.
