This optical system — free of distortion and colour-corrected — was designed among other things for inspecting negatives and for setting focusing screens. The translucent acrylic insert at the base can be swapped for the black acrylic insert supplied with it, to keep stray light out from the side. The high-grade optics can be focused. Its large field of view makes this loupe suitable not only for transparencies but for any work where a wide field is needed. |
